১ম পর্বটি না পড়ে থাকলে দয়া করে সেই পর্বটিতে একবার চোখ বুলিয়ে নিন। মনে রাখবেন, এই লেখাটি তাদের জন্য যারা ইংরেজিতে দক্ষ হয়েও বেকার। আজ আমরা rewriting বিষয়টি দেখব। ধৈর্য রাখুন, ৭ম পর্বে সামগ্রিক কিছু টিপস থাকবে এবং আলোচনা হতে পারে। আজ দেখব:

৩ ক) Rewriting কাজটি আসলে কি?

Rewriting শব্দটির আক্ষরিক বাংলা হতে পারে পুনর্লিখন। কাজটিও আক্ষরিক অর্থে তাই। যেমন: মূল সেনটেন্স যদি হয় – These licenses require that the student completes a predetermined number of education hours. আপনার পুনর্লিখিত সেনটেন্স হতে পারে – If you want a license of this type, you must have completed a predetermined hours of education.

মূল কথা হলো, আপনার পুনর্লিখিত সেনটেন্স এ একই কথা বলা হবে কিন্তু “শব্দচয়ন ও গ্রামারগত পার্থক্য থাকবে” যাতে করে মনে হয় দুটি লেখা একে অন্যের নকল না।

এখানে বাংলাদেশীরা যে সমস্যার মুখোমুখি হয় সেটি হলো আর্টিকেলগুলোর বিষয়বস্তুর ভিন্নতা। বেশীরভাগ বিষয় হবে স্বাস্থ্য, প্রযুক্তি, ইন্সুরেন্স, আন্তর্জাতিক খবর ইত্যাদি নির্ভর। আপনাকে এগুলো দ্রুত পড়ে বুঝে উঠতে হবে। নীচের ৩গ), ৩ঘ), তঙ) এর উদাহরণগুলো খেয়াল করুন।

৩ খ) ফ্রিল্যান্সিং কাজের জন্য rewriting কত রকম হতে পারে?

প্রথমত বলা যায় যে, আপনাকে ৩২০-৬০০ শব্দের একটি লেখা দেয়া হলে সেটির তথ্য ঠিক রেখে আপনার ভাষায় তা লিখতে হবে নীচের দুটি উপায়ের যে কোন একভাবে। এমপ্লয়ার যেভাবে চাইবে সেভাবে করতে হবে।

১ম ধরন: প্রতিটি সেনটেন্সকে পুনর্লিখন করতে হবে। এক্ষেত্রে প্রতিটি সেনটেন্স এর পরপরই আপনার লেখা সেনটেন্সটি লিখতে হতে পারে। অর্থাত মূল আর্টিকেল এর ভেতরেই rewritten article-টি থেকে যাবে। অথবা এক প্যারার সব সেনটেন্সকে আলাদা আলাদা পুনর্লিখনের পর প্যারা হিসেবে সাজাতে হতে পারে। এরপর পুরো rewritten article-টি আলাদাভাবে দেখা যাবে।

২য় ধরন: অথবা এক এক প্যারাগ্রাফ হিসেবে পুনর্লিখন করতে হবে। এরপর original article-টি ও rewritten article-টি আলাদাভাবে তুলে ধরতে হবে।

বেশীরভাগ ক্ষেত্রে একটি আর্টিকেল এর একবার রিরাইটিং চাওয়া হয়। একে বিজ্ঞাপনে rewriting x 1 হিসেবেও তুলে ধরা হয়। এক্ষেত্রে আপনি যা করবেন তা হলো প্রথমে original article-টি পৃষ্ঠার উপরে রাখবেন। তার পরে insert > page break দিয়ে পরের পৃষ্ঠায় আপনার rewritten article-টি দেবেন। আপনার rewritten article-টির ফন্ট কালার ভিন্ন রাখতে পারেন।

আবার অনেকসময় একটি আর্টিকেল এর দুইবার বা তিনবার রিরাইটিং চাওয়া হয়। একে বিজ্ঞাপনে যথাক্রমে rewriting x 2 এবং rewriting x 3 হিসেবেও তুলে ধরা হয়। পেমেন্ট বেশীরভাগ প্রতি একবার রিরাইটিং অনুযায়ী হয়ে থাকে।
