গত কয়েকদিন যাবত বিভিন্ন সংবাদ পত্রে মাকসুদের কনসার্ট নিয়ে বেশ কিছু খবর ছাপা হয়েছে। এই সব খবরে বলা হয়েছে যে মাকসুদের কনসার্টে ঝামেলা হয়েছে এবং এক পর্যায়ে আয়োজনকারীদের ( সম্ভবত ছাত্রলীগ) দ্বারা মাকসুদ শারিরীকভাবে হেনস্হা হয়েছেন এবং মাকসুদকে ২ বছরের জন্য ক্যাম্পাসে অবান্চিত ঘোষনা করা হয়েছে। এ বিষয়ে মাকসুদ তার ফেসবুক এ্যাকাউন্টে বক্তব্য দিয়েছেন। আমি সেটিই এখানে হুবুহু তুলে দিচ্ছি।

I am deeply touched and honored by the many calls, Facebook messages and SMS received expressing your kind concerns about my physical well being after reading several newspaper reports on the above.
From what I have gathered the news circulating in the print media appears to be syndicated by shady interest. The report/s appears to have emanated from one desk, with dots, commas and apostrophes all the same. I feel some quarters wish to use me as ‘political-capital’ and provoke/excite my sensitive Fan base and well-wishers - the target appears not just one Maqsoodul Haque but indeed the entire Rock Movement.
Reading between the lines the ultimate objective appears to force a ban on Rock Concerts in the DU Campus. Some newspaper say that the ‘DU Authorities are considering a ban on Rock Concerts in the campus’, yet others reported that a statement was read out by a student leader after the concert that I be declared ‘obannchito’ or ‘unwanted’ in and around the DU Campus for the next 2 years! It also reports that I was ‘physically assaulted and injured by student activists’ in the green room after the concert as I was leaving the venue.
No such thing in reality happened; on the contrary I was entertained with coffee and sandwich by students, hugged profusely and escorted up to the band with all my members. The entire area was cordoned off by security and the media. At any given time there were over 50 photographers and TV camera crew – recording the entire episode.
Nothing on ‘digital’ record confirms what the ‘analogue’ media is claiming to be the TRUTH
