UPA International Student Design Competition
Theme: Present a concept or a fully realized prototype to address sustainable transportation for future.
Open to: Teams of 2-5 member students at all stages of their education, from design schools and colleges, from undergraduate to post-graduate. All international entries are welcome.
Deadline: 23 March 2009
Prize: $1250 for the top team, $750 for the runners up, $500 for the third place.

EDGE Global Environmental Challenge 2008
Theme: Create a design for the most innovative product that utilizes electronic components and will have a significant positive effect on the environment.
Open to: The Competition is open internationally to individuals, groups and companies.
Registration Deadline: 31 January 2009
Prize: Winner of each competition will receive a $25,000 cash award, plus a unique package of support services. Six designs (3 student, 3 general) are eligible to win a cash sum of $5,000 each and an honorable mention in all publicity literature

Pulse Innovative Design Contest
Theme: Designs for sofas, chairs, loungers, sectionals, ottomans, dreamers, benches are invited.
Open to: Open to everyone
Deadline: January 15 and July 15 of each year.
