সুরনজিত সেন এবার ঠিকই ক্ষেপে গেছেন। তিনি আজ বিকালে জালালাবাদ এসোসিয়েশনের একটি আলোচনা সভায় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর উপদেষ্টাকে সংসদীয় কমিটিকে হাজির হওয়ার ব্যাপারে তাগিদ দিয়েছেন। পড়ুন নিম্নের রিপোর্টটি-
Suranjit Sen Gupta, Chairman of parliamentary standing committee on Law, Justice and Parliamentary affairs ministry today said that Adviser to the Prime Minister HT Imam should respond to summon of the committee.
If HT Imam would not respond, the committee take decision as per situation demand, Suranjit said.
In reply to a quarry, he told reporters that he (HT Imam) could see the rules that if the parliamentary committee has jurisdiction to summon him.
Earlier on Thursday, the committee asked HT Imam and two secretaries to explain two district judges’ retirement without the Supreme Court approval.
Suranjit told reporters at a remembrance meeting and doa mahfil to mark the 34th death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Jalalabad Bhaban of Kawran Bazar in the city.
Organised by Jalalabad Association, the programme was presided over by president of the association Dr CM Delwar Rana.
General Secretary Akbar Hossain Monju conducted the programme while it was took part at the discussion, among others, by Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, Social Welfare Minister Enamul Haq Mostafa Shaheed, State Miniter for Health & Family Welfare Mujibul Haque Fakir, former minister Jakaria Khan Chowdhury and Lawmaker Hafiz Ahmed Majumder.
Nurul Islam Nahid said that the present government is committed to ensure standard, modern and technology based education to develop the country as the dream of Bangabandhu.
He mentioned that 9 percent children of the country do not go to school and 48 percent students of primary school drop out before passing class five. The quantity of dropout students has to be resisted, he added.
