New year 2011 has come with great hope and aspiration. For celebrating 31st night of the last year all classes people vested their effort. With the setting of last sun of 2010 young generation become joyous and expressed their feelings in different ways.Govt. promised to provide top security specially in Gulshan- Banani, Baridhara, Dhanmondi and some other areas and obviously top most at Dhaka University area.Though police were in the position but mass people entered DU area before night with dear ones. At 11:59 students started showing fireworks , used potka and some other things. But one things to be cited that these created huge sound pollution to nearest area . But no one considered what happens to heart patients while there is huge sound ? If government wanted couldn't they warned the people not to make sound pollution in this type of area ! The celebration continues till late night. Five star hotels arranged different cultural function which continues night long. Dj party, dancing with pop song were top prior but hardly follows Bengali culture ! Yes that's the reality.. We are now tensed about our cultural identity for increasing interest of young generation to foreign culture. At TSC there were many out comers. With them some students were so addicted that they lost themselves in drinking. Even they tried to make heinous feelings with Hijra What a Celebration of New Year !! Just imagine what was the cost amount of celebrating 31st night ? If half of these amount were invested for betterment of poor children education how much the country be benefited achieving MDG with personal attainment of the people ? How many people could eat for one times ? But this is just the thinking of a simple person. We don't know whether anyone will read the topic or not . But writings go on and feelings deepen. Let the conscience play, celebrate new year with our own culture at the same time think about the poor also.
